NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – Manage vegetation

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

 To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Marmet – Lens Creek portion of its 12 kV Distribution system in Kanawha County, WV.  On or about August 29th, 2022, a helicopter will begin trimming trees away from power lines.  A ground crew will follow up to remove tree trimmings from streams, roads and maintained areas.  In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, trimmings will remain on site to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.

 

Rights-of-way in this area expected to be all or partially involved in the program are:  MacCorkle Ave., 98th St., Summit Dr., Lens Creek Rd. (State Rt 94), Ring Hollow Rd., Four Mile Hollow Rd., Spruce Fork Dr., Wells Dr., Cemetery Dr., 100th St., Hillview Dr., Left Fork Rd., Six Mile Hollow Rd., and Bee Mtn. Rd.
