NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – Vegetation Management

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

 

To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the South Hills-Oakwood Rd. portion of its 12 kilovolt distribution system in Kanawha County, WV.  On or about January 10th, 2022 contract crews will begin to apply herbicides along our rights-of-way.

 

Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: Paula Rd., Oakhurst Rd, Oakwood Rd., Sherwood rd., Alta Rd., Ravinia Rd., Woodoak Ln., Carroll Rd., Beaumont Rd., McGovran Rd., Green Meadow Rd., Leslie Rd., Wychwood Rd., Weberwood Rd., Ellison Rd., Stricker Rd., Cantley Dr., Churchill Dr., Gordon Dr., Wilkie Dr., S. Homewood Dr., Fort Hill Dr., Ashby Dr., McKinley Ave., Sheridan Cir., and Mountview Dr.

 

Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.  Specifics regarding your property may be discussed at that time.  If you are a nonresident property owner and have questions regarding our right-of-way maintenance they may be directed to:
