NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Tackett Creek-Scary Creek Rd. portion of its 12kV Distribution system in Putnam County, WV. On or about April 18, 2022, contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and take into account factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, cuttings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.
Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: 1st St. N, Railroad Ave., Winfield Rd., 2nd Ave., 3rd St. N, Charleston St., Hitching Post Lane, Surrey Ter., Patti Lane, Willis Lane, Kanawha Ave., Lane Ave., Industrial Rd., Miracle Dr., Joseph Road., Sleepy Hollow Farm Rd., Mallory Lane N, Battlefield Gardens, Ventroux Rd., Sue Dr., 16th St., 12th St., Scary Creek Rd., Teays Valley Rd., Pine Ridge Rd., Spruce Lane, Cedar Circle, Smiley Dr., Mesa Dr., Golf Dr., O. E. Caldwell Lane, Beagle Run, Greekstone Dr., Poplar Dr., Vernett Dr., Greenbrier Dr., Raymond Dr., Bills Creek Rd., Cross Circle, Kens Lake Estates Rd., White Oak Dr., Lake View Dr., Rebecca Dr., Cougar Mountain Dr., Dream Chasin Rd., Allison Lane, Addington Place, Stanford Dr., Ches-wal Rd., Saunders Addition, McCloud Rd., Maddox Dr., and Jordan Addition.
Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
