Petitioners, Mandy Wells and Clestina Wells, are petitioning this Court to enter an Order of Adoption of I.W. and A.W.
TO: The Biological Mother of I.W. and A.W., Mary Lynn Wells, and the Unknown Biological Fathers of I.W. and A.W. and Todd Patrick Cortez, the individual listed as the father on the birth certificate of Iyanna Wells: It appearing by certified Petition filed in this action that Mary Lynn Wells, Unknown Biological Fathers and Todd Patrick Cortez have not been located by the Petitioners for personal service, it is hereby Ordered that Mary Lynn Wells, Unknown Biological Fathers and Todd Patrick Cortez file with the Circuit Clerk’s office and serve upon John R. Funkhouser, Counsel for Mandy Wells and Clestina Wells, whose address is 103 Adams Street, Suite 200, Fairmont, West Virginia, an Answer, including any related counterclaim or defense you may have to the Petition filed in this action on or before Wednesday, January 30, 2020, or appear at the hearing scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Honorable Judge Christopher McCarthy, Harrison County Courthouse, 301 West Main Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301. If you fail to do so, thereafter judgment, which may include termination of your parental rights, upon proper hearing and trial, may be taken against you for the relief demanded in the Petition. Additionally, if you fail to respond within the required time, you may not appear in or receive further notice of these proceedings. A copy of said Petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at his office.
