Request for Bids
2018-2019 Bituminous Asphalt (Plant Mix)
The Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County Virginia and the Tazewell County PSA are currently accepting sealed bids for qualified contractors to perform asphalt overlay paving with Bituminous Asphalt (Plant Mix) on various orphan roads in Tazewell County.
All those interested in bidding on the Bituminous Asphalt Overlay Schedule must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference meeting scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on March 15th, 2019 in the Tazewell County Administration Building Board Room, Tazewell, Virginia 24651. A package containing additional information, including road lists, quantities, and locations will be handed out at that time.
Bids must be received no later than 10:00 A.M. on March 29nd, 2019, at which time the bids will be opened in the board room of the Tazewell County Administration Building. The envelope must be clearly marked “Plant Mix Bid” and addressed Kenneth Dunford, Jr. Interim Director of Engineering, 173 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651. Questions concerning the bid or pre-bid conference will be responded to by calling 276-385-1217. The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any informality, to reject any and all bids if it appears in Tazewell County’s best interest to do so, and accept only that bid deemed to be in the best interest of Tazewell County, Virginia.
