NOTICE OF FILING AND HEARING
On March 2, 2014, Appalachian Power Company (APCo) and Wheeling Power Company (WPCo), both doing business as American Electric Power (jointly, the Companies) filed the 2015 petition to initiate the annual Expanded Net Energy Cost (ENEC) proceeding. APCo and WPCo propose to increase ENEC rates to produce an additional $61.5 million in annual ENEC revenues, address the treatment of PJM Open Access Transmission Tariff revenues and roll the $1.8 million deferred Construction Surcharge overrecovery into the ENEC balance.
On March 2, 2014, APCo and WPCo also filed a Petition for review of their Energy Efficiency/Demand Response (EEIDR) program rates. They asked the Commission to approve continuation of current EE/DR rates and requested that the budget for the EE/DR programs be increased to $10 million from $8.2 million, with $1.8 million to be invested by the Companies. The $1.8 million would fund an Integrated Volt VAR control system pilot program
