municipal solid waste landfill located in Calvin, West Virginia.
NOTICE OF FILING
On June 23, 2015, Nicholas County Solid Waste Authority (Applicant), Calvin, Nicholas County, filed an application under West Virginia Code 24-2-1c for a Certificate of Need to expand its existing municipal solid waste landfill in Calvin, West Virginia. The total proposed expansion and cell construction will add an additional 12.2 acres to the disposal area and will provide an additional 880,000 cubic yards of disposal airspace. The Authority proposes to increase its rates and charges from $60.50 per ton and $1.05 per bag of waste to $70.50 per ton and $2.10 per bag of waste.
Anyone who may be affected by this application may file a letter of objection or protest or seek intervener status by filing a writing with the Commission, no later than within 30 (thirty) days following the date of this publication. If no one objects to the application or files a letter of protest, the Commission may waive formal hearing and grant the application based upon its review of the materials contained in the application.
A copy of the application is on file with the Commission. Anyone may examine or request copies of the application from the Commission.
