PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE
TO: CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF FAIRMONT:
The Council of the City of Fairmont at its regular meeting held January 26, 2021 introduced and publicly read in its entirety for the first time the following City Ordinances:
• An Ordinance Providing For An Amendment To The City Of Fairmont’s 2020-2021 Annual Budget: General Fund.
• An Ordinance Of The Council Of The City Of Fairmont Amending And Supplementing Ordinance No. 1871 Duly Adopted October 13, 2020, Which Ordinance Provides For The City Of Fairmont’s Current Pay Plan And List Of Occupational Classes For All Class Titles And Employees, To Provide For Certain Stylistic Changes And To Provide Base Pay Increases For The Positions Of Customer Relations Manager/Auditor And Code/Housing Officer, Both Of Which Are Currently Vacant.
• An Ordinance Amending And Supplementing That Portion Of Ordinance No. 403, As Amended By Ordinance No. 1365, Ordinance No. 1486, Ordinance No. 1624, And Ordinance No. 1701, Which Is Codified As Part 15 Fire Prevention Code, Article 1507, Bureau For Fire Prevention, Section .07 State Code And Fire Marshal Rules, Of The Code Of The City Of Fairmont, To Provide For The Adoption Of The Standards And Requirements Set Out In Title 87 Legislative Rule, Fire Commission, Series 1 Fire Code, And Established And Adopted By The State Of West Virginia, Effective August 1, 2020, Excluding However All Standards And Requirements Directed To The Operation Of Local Fire Departments, If Any.
• An Ordinance Providing For The Public Auction Of Surplus Personal Property Of The City Of Fairmont Water Board, Namely, A 2004 Wilkins Mobile Home/Office Trailer VIN #WMBAL1203258, Establishing Reserve Or Minimum Bid, And Reservation Of Rights.
Copies of the proposed Ordinances are available in the office of the City Clerk, Room 312, 200 Jackson Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
The Public Hearing on the proposed items will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Council Chambers, at the Public Safety Building, 500 Quincy Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard as to whether or not said proposed Ordinance shall be enacted. All objections and suggestions shall be heard and Council shall take such action as it deems necessary in the premises.
