On July 15, 2021, the State Medical Board of Ohio mailed a Notice of Opportunity for Hearing to Michel Toret, M.D., via certified mail, return receipt requested, at his last known address of record, 19 Ruth Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003. The Notice was returned to the Board from the postal service marked “return to sender, no such number, unable to forward.”
The notice states that the State Medical Board of Ohio intends to determine whether or not to limit, revoke, permanently revoke, or suspend his license or certificate, or refuse to grant or register or issue the license/certificate for which he has a pending application in accordance with Section 9.79 of the Ohio Revised Code, or refuse to renew or reinstate his license or certificate to practice medicine and surgery, or to reprimand him or place him on probation due to his plea of guilty in the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas Court to two counts of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death. In addition, the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine issued a “Notice and Order of Automatic Suspension”, based on these convictions.
Dr. Toret is entitled to a hearing in this matter if such hearing is requested within thirty (30) days of the last date of publication of this notice. Dr. Toret may appear at such hearing in person, by his attorney, or by such other representative permitted to practice before this agency, or he may present his position, arguments or contentions in writing. At the hearing, Dr. Toret may present evidence and examine witnesses appearing for or against him. Please contact the undersigned to ascertain the last date of publication.
