2021 OGLEBAY PAVING
The Wheeling Park Commission, a Municipal Park System located in Wheeling, West Virginia, will receive sealed bids until 2:00pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Main Office of Wheeling Park in the White Palace, Wheeling, West Virginia where bids will be opened and read aloud in the Teen Center for the following project:
2021 OGLEBAY PAVING consisting of the milling and paving overlay of the main access road to the Wheeling Park Playground, and numerous areas at Oglebay, including the Race Track picnic area, a segment of road near Schenk Lake, roadway and parking area near Haller Shelter and other misc. paving of currently unpaved shoulder areas. Roadways will be marked to denote limits of paving.
Interested bidders may obtain the Project Manuals and bidding documents by attending a pre-bid meeting to be held at the White Palace at Wheeling Park at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 6, 2021. After receiving the Bid Package and reviewing the Project Documents bidders will have the opportunity to tour the proposed areas to be paved. Interested bidders may also pick up Bid Packages at the FMC Office at Oglebay by calling 304- 243-4025 after August 6th.
Bidders are advised that on this Project, each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Wheeling Park Commission for 5% of the total bid. In lieu of a certified check, a Bid Bond for 5% of the total bid will be acceptable. Each person or firm submitting a bid for any portion of the work shall include their West Virginia Contractor’s License number and shall provide a current copy of their West Virginia Contractor’s License with their bid. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within sixty day of the actual opening thereof. The successful Contractor and Subcontractors must comply with all rules and Regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, and must be able to provide proof of general liability and automobile liability insurance that meets the minimum requirements as found in the Project Manual.
The Wheeling Park Commission reserves the right to delete any or all portions of the Bid, waive any informalities or minor defects, and reject any or all bids.
