ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Wetzel County EM/E-911 Storage Facility
For the Wetzel County Commission
New Martinsville, WV

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The Wetzel County
Commission will accept sealed bids for the Storage
Facility for the Emergency Management/E-911 Center
to be located near 911 Emergency Services Lane, New
Martinsville, WV.

Sealed bids will be received by the Wetzel County
Commission, 200 Main Street, PO Box 156
New Martinsville, WV 26155. until 2:00 P.M., on
Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Bids received after
that time will be returned to the bidder unopened. All
sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at
the Wetzel County Commission immediately following
the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
Interested parties are invited to attend.

The Work includes construction of a 6,100 sf metal
building and block structure and all site work associated
with utilities, grading and pavements as documented in
the drawings and specifications prepared by E.T.
Boggess Architect, Inc. All bids must be enclosed in
sealed envelope bearing the name “Wetzel E-911
Storage Facility.” Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids
may be mailed or delivered to Steve Yoho, Wetzel
County Commission, 200 Main Street, PO Box 156,
New Martinsville, WV 26155, if received prior to bid
date.

A mandatory, pre-bid meeting will be held at the site
located beside the existing Wetzel 911 Center
Emergency Services Lane, New Martinsville, WV on
Wednesday, September 1, 2021at 1:00 p.m. All general
contractors bidding the project are required to attend the
meeting to familiarize themselves with the project
location, site conditions and other relevant information.

Bidders on this work may not discriminate in
employment with regards to race, creed, color, sex, or
national origin. Bidders must comply with the
requirements of all applicable state and federal laws.
Bidders must also comply with West Virginia Code
21-1D-5 requiring a Drug Free Workplace.

Each bidder will be required to furnish a certified check
or bank draft payable to the Wetzel County Commission
or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a grantee
Bidder and a Bidder surety company approved by the
Wetzel County Commission in an amount equal to five
percent (5%) of the total projected cost of the work,
materials and labor, plus proposed fee, which shall be
submitted with each Bid to guarantee the Bidder’s
entrance into a Contract, if given the award. No Bid
shall be waived or returned because the Bidder failed to
or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in
the Plans, Specifications, or any applicable statutes of
the United States, the State of West Virginia and/or local
ordinances.

at the following offices during normal working hours:

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the
Bidding Documents issued by the Architect and the
Form of Proposal.

Princeton, WV 24740 (304-425-4491). The cost for
printed bid documents is $350 and is nonrefundable.
The cost for a CD or link to electronic documents is
$75.00 and is also nonrefundable.

The Wetzel County Commission and the Wetzel County
Emergency Management/E-911 Center reserves the
right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
informalities therein.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days
after the time of opening of the bids.

All bidders will be required to certify, indicate and
acknowledge that he/she has all appropriate licenses
and meets all qualifications required by the laws,
regulations, and ordinances of the State of West Virginia
and the Wetzel County Commission.
