INVITATION TO BID
Oglebay Park and the Wheeling Park Commission invite proposals to provide all Work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment supplies and transportation for:
Oglebay Park Gatehouse
Retaining Wall Replacement
Project consists of work at the masonry retaining wall located at the Main Gatehouse of Oglebay Park on WV Rt. 88. Successful bidder will: provide storm water control, remove and save the existing wall cap, demo and legally dispose off site the existing masonry wall and concrete footing, build a new concrete footing, masonry wall and stairs with handrail, re-install the cap, install misc. drainage piping and catch basin along with misc. paving to complete the project.
All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Owner and the Request for Bids. Plans and Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Owner at the Pre-bid Meeting. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required for each set. Checks payable to: Wheeling Park Commission.
A MANDATORY PREBID MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR:

Attendance is MANDATORY. All Bidders MUST attend the prebid meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project location, site conditions and other relevant information. Should any Bidder fail to attend, the Bid will be disqualified. Other site visits are permissible but the Owner must be advised prior to such visit.
At the Pre-bid Meeting, Contractors and their Subcontractors will be permitted to tour the site where the Owner will be available to answer questions
After the review of the documents and after the prebid, written questions only will be addressed by addendum. The written questions must be submitted via email to Owner’s Representative Curt Byrum at:

Sealed Bids will be received by Wheeling Park Commission until 2:00 pm, on Friday, March 25, 2016. Bids may either be mailed to:

The bids will be opened publicly in the Visitor’s Center at that time. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularity in the bids and in the bidding.
