CITY OF SISTERSVILLE
CITY BUILDING FASCIA AND SOFFIT REPAIR
PROJECT
The City of Sistersville will be accepting sealed bids for
the City Building Fascia and Soffit Repair Project until
7:00 p.m. on December 13th, 2021, when they will be
opened and read aloud at a meeting of the city council.
Bids may be mailed or delivered to: City of Sistersville
Soffit Bids, 200 Diamond Street, Sistersville, WV,
26175. The December 13th city council meeting will be
at the Sistersville Volunteer Fire Department Hall at 121
Maple Lane.
A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or Certified Cashier’s
check must accompany all Bids. After Bid opening, a
Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty
(60) days. All Bidders must have a current and valid
West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section 21-11-11
of the West Virginia Code. The City of Sistersville
reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
The work to be bid upon is generally described as
follows:
The Sistersville City Building is a 2 ½ story brick
structure with ornately trimmed wooden fascia, soffits,
dental blocks and frieze boards. Age and weather has
caused deterioration in multiple areas. The original look
should be maintained as possible, while working to
solidify, cover, and protect existing damaged wood with
properly installed white aluminum products. Surface
preparation as needed is included in the scope.
Contractor should plan for use of man lift as the building
surroundings do not accommodate scaffolding. Quote
can be lump sum but supported by a materials list
including 6″ vented soffit, J channel, 1 ¼” stainless steel
trim nails, 14″ fascia to cover frieze board, 9″ wood
screws to reinstall dental blocks as needed, 1″x6″x10′
pine boards, all labor, installation, and clean up.
