REQUEST FOR AUDIT PROPOSALS
The Benwood-McMechen Housing Authority is in the process of securing proposals for the performance of financial auditing services for a period of one (1) year to include the Fiscal Year ending 9/30/2016. A complete financial audit covering the twelve month period ending September 30, 2016 with a possible extension of up to two (2) additional years.
Copies of the proposal requirements may be obtained upon request from the Benwood-McMechen Housing Authority, 2200 Marshall Street, Benwood, WV, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. until Friday, April 22, 2016.
The audit will be performed in accordance with Government Auditing Standards; OMB Circular A-133 and compliance supplement; the Single Audit Act of 1996 and amendments; and implementing regulations. The Auditor/Accountant must have prior experience in auditing HUD Housing Authority administered programs and must provide a list of these audits.
One original and five copies of the proposal should be delivered to the Benwood-McMechen Housing Authority, 2200 Marshall Street, Benwood, WV 26031 on or before 4:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2016. The contract will be awarded Friday, May 20, 2016 after approval from the Authoritys Board of Commissioners. Please note that the Benwood- McMechen Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any informalities contained therein.
