PUBLIC NOTICE

In accordance with W. Va. Code §8A-5-4 the Ranson Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 7th, 2022, at 7 pm at Ranson City Hall, 312 S. Mildred Street, Ranson, WV via Zoom. To access the web meeting link or to see the agenda, please visit http://ransonwv.iqm2.com/

The purpose of the public hearing is to accept public comments on amendments to the Ranson
Municipal Code Sections §19-15. Signs, §19A-5.5. Building Placement, §16-179. Wall and fence design standards, §16-171. Driveway design standards, §16-173.
Lighting design standards, §16-177. Buffering and screening standards, and §16-178. Landscaping design guidelines and standards, §19-16. Non-Conformities and §19A-5.2. Pre-existing Conditions to consolidate Non-Conforming and Pre-Existing Conditions language into one section, §19A-7.2.5. Public Frontages, and §19A-7. Table 30. Pre-Approved Assemblies. Upon recommendation and approval of the amendment by the Ranson Planning Commission, an ordinance will be presented to the City Council for 1st reading on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, at 7 pm at City Hall and the 2nd reading on Tuesday, March 15th,
at 7 pm accessible to the public via Zoom.

Copies of the proposed zoning amendment are available upon request in the Community Development Department. If you cannot attend but wish to comment, you may write and it must be received to the following address:

Written Comments
