PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE

In accordance with
Section 610 of the
Tuscarora Community Zoning Ordinance (1975), the Berkeley County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider the public comments on the
following projects:

REQUEST FOR
SPECIAL EXCEPTION & VARIANCE:
Martinsburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church: The property is located on the west side of Delmar
Orchard Road (WV Rt. 45/7), approximately
1,300 feet south of its
intersection with
Tuscarora Pike (WV Rt. 15), in the Arden Tax
District. The applicant is requesting a special
exception, in accordance with Section 502.3, of the Tuscarora Community Zoning Ordinance (1975), to construct a private
elementary school.
The applicant is also
requesting a variance to Section 602.2 “Table of Minimum Yard Requirements”, of the Tuscarora Community Zoning
Ordinance (1975), requiring a front setback of
150 feet and a side
setback of 100 feet.

The PUBLIC HEARING will be held on
Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in the County
Council Chambers,
400 West Stephen Street, in the City of Martinsburg at 6:00 p.m. All persons and agencies having an interest on said plats are invited to participate in this hearing and make their comments known. In the event that an unforeseen circumstance would cause the Board of Zoning
Appeals to cancel the scheduled meeting, a back-up public hearing date of Wednesday, March 2, 2022 will be
utilized.
