CENTERVILLE ALMA WATER EXTENSION

General Notice

The Tyler County Public
Service District (Owner)
is requesting Bids for the
construction of the
following Project:
CENTERVILLE ALMA
WATER EXTENSION
Bids for the construction
of the Project will be
received at the Tyler
County Public Service
District office located at
7604 Energy Highway,
Sistersville, WV 26175
until 1:00 p.m. local time
on March 28th, at which
time the Bids received will
be publicly opened and
read.

The Project includes the
following Work:
Separate Bids will be
received for the following
Contracts:
CONTRACT #1 –
Centerville Alma Water
Extension:
Unit price contract to
construct approximately
21,230 LF of 8″, 19,215
LF of 6″; 4,160 LF of 4″,
6,660 LF of 3″, 3,020 LF
of 2″ waterline, 531 feet of
highway borings, 1,355
feet of horizontal
directional drilling, 30
valves, 14 fire hydrants, 9
flushout assemblies, 150
meters and meter
settings, 2 tie-ins to
existing mains, 75 gpm
Booster Station; and other
work required to provide a
complete operating water
system.
CONTRACT #2 – Water
Storage Tank:
Lump sum contract to
construct one (1) water
storage tank measuring
25 feet in diameter by 33
feet in height to the
overflow with a nominal
volume of 122,000
gallons. Contract also
includes access road and
appurtenances to make a
complete operating
system.
Owner anticipates that
Contract #1 total bid price
will be approximately
$2,237,000 with an
expected duration of 240
days and that Contract #2
total bid price will be
approximately $200,000
with an expected duration
of 120 days.

The date that the Bidding
Documents are
transmitted by the Issuing
Office will be considered
the Bidder’s date of
receipt of the Bidding
Documents. Partial sets
of Bidding Documents will
not be available from the
Issuing Office. Neither
Owner nor Engineer will
be responsible for full or
partial sets of Bidding
Documents, including
Addenda if any, obtained
from sources other than
the Issuing Office.
Bid security shall be
furnished in accordance
with the Instructions to
Bidders.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will
not be conducted for this
Project.
Instructions to Bidders.
For all further
requirements regarding
bid submittal,
qualifications, procedures,
and contract award, refer
to the Instructions to
Bidders that are included
in the Bidding Documents.
American Iron and Steel
Section 746 of Title VII
of the Consolidated
Appropriations Act of
2017 (Division A –
Agriculture, Rural
Development, Food and
Drug Administration,
and Related Agencies
Appropriations Act,
2017) and subsequent
statutes mandating
domestic preference
applies an American
Iron and Steel
requirement to this
project. All iron and
steel products used in
this project must be
produced in the United
States. The term “iron
and steel products”
means the following
products made primarily
of iron or steel: lined or
unlined pipes and
fittings, manhole covers
and other municipal
castings, hydrants,
tanks, flanges, pipe
clamps and restraints,
valves, structural steel,
reinforced precast
concrete, and
Construction Materials.
