The Hancock County Commission will be accepting sealed bids for grass cutting of county-owned properties in the following packages:
Package #1 – Flatts Cemetery, New Manchester, WV
Package #2 – Union and Methodist Cemeteries, New Manchester, WV
Package #3- Three Springs Drive Cemetery, Weirton, WV
Package #4- Cove Valley Playground and Peter Tarr Furnace, Weirton, WV
All interested bidders can obtain aerial photos and directions/ descriptions of each package by contacting the Commission office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Copies can be mailed, faxed, or emailed. Additional information can also be found on our website at

Each property needs to be cut as frequently as necessary to keep the grass presentable starting April 15, 2022 and must continue to be cut until October 30, 2022. No sub-contracting is permitted.
Sealed bids may be dropped off at the Commission office or mailed to
PO Box 485,
New Cumberland, WV 26047.
If bidding on all packages, separate envelopes with the package number must be submitted for each package. Bids will be accepted until 4:00pm on March 25, 2022, with a bid opening immediately following.
The Hancock County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids and request new bids.
