NOTICE TO
ARCHITECTS/
ENGINEERS
Pursuant to WV Code 5G-1-3, the Ohio County Board of Education (OCBOE) is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified architectural / engineering firms to provide professional services for architectural/engineering design, and construction administration services for the following project: WPHS Track Facility Upgrades. for additional information. Note the project has already completed the programming and concept level design. All services shall be performed in accordance with applicable requirements of the West Virginia Department of Education (Policy 6200). Qualified architectural / engineering firms are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to the attention of Dr. Kimberly S. Miller, Superintendent of Ohio County Schools, including a statement of qualifications, performance data, experience with similar projects, and a description of project management procedures that will be utilized for this project, and other material or information as desired, no later than 4:00 pm local prevailing time on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the administrative offices of Ohio County Schools, 2203 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
An OCBOE approved Selection Team will evaluate the Expressions of Interest received and will conduct discussions with at least three of the qualified architectural / engineering firms submitting those expressions, who are deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the services requested. Such firms will then be ranked in order of preference, with the Selection Team’s recommendations submitted to the OCBOE for further review, discussions, possible follow-up interviews, and approval. Upon selection and approval of a Firm, it is anticipated that a contract will be executed between the successful Firm and the OCBOE for the services requested.
The OCBOE reserves the right to reject any or all of the Expressions of Interest actually received, and to award a contract for the requested services in any manner deemed by it, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interests of Ohio County Schools and in accordance with the intent of West Virginia Code 5G-1-3.
