NOTICE
The Northern Panhandle Workforce Development board, Inc. (NPWDB, Inc.) has modified its Local Plan of Service for Program Years 2020 – 2024. The Local Plan of Service provides an overview of the structure of the local workforce delivery system in the Northern Panhandle Region of West Virginia. the Local Plan also provides an overview of the types of training services and programs to be delivered at American Job Centers. The local workforce delivery system, including regional American Job Centers, is funded with Workforce Innovation & Opportunity (WIOA) funds. WIOA funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Local Plan details services for eligible individuals from the following counties: Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and tyler counties and the cities of Wheeling and Weirton.
To review modified Local Plan, please follow these steps:
STEP 1 – Go to

STEP 2 – Click on the link – “Services/Plans & Policies”
STEP 3 – Click on “Local Plan of Service” to open document. A hard copy of the modified Local Plan is available at the NPWDB, Inc. Office, 1245 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV for review. NPWDB, Inc. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Any comments to the modified Local Plan are to be provided in writing to the NPWDB, Inc. by no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Comments must be legible, typed and printed in black ink and signed by the preparer. Providers of WIOA funded activities are equal opportunity employers/programs.
