FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Village of Jewett, Ohio Water Storage Tank Replacement Project, Triad project No. 04-14-0628, will be received by the Village of Jewett at the Village office, 411 East High Street, P.O. Box 192 Jewett, Ohio 43986, until 10:00 AM local time on June 21, 2016, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing a 150,000-gallon water storage tank, approximately 1,300 LF of access road, 2,000 LF of 8″ C900 PVC water line, four 8″ gate valves and covers, 240 LF of security fencing, and other miscellaneous items and appurtenences to make a complete project.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Triad Engineering, Inc., 1005 East State Street, Athens, Ohio 45701. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $125.00 for each set. Electronic PDF copies will be available for a $50 transmittal fee. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Triad Engineering, Inc”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge of $35.00 (for hard copies only), the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 AM local time on May 26, 2016 at the Village of Jewett Municipal Building, 110 West Main Street, Jewett, Ohio 43968. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.
Prospective Bidders should note that this contract will include the following critical requirements as identified in the contract documents:

A one hundred percent (100{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) Bid Guarantee Bond or ten percent (10{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Letter of Credit must accompany all bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Each Bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
