Notice is hereby given that CARTER ROAG COAL COMPANY, 109 APPALACHIAN DR., BECKLEY, WV 25801 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV, 26416-1600 for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number U200988 issued for 68.98 acres.
The permit is located in Roaring Creek District of Randoph County, 4.2 miles northwest of Coalton (Nearest PO) on an unnamed tributary of Tygart Valley River of Tygart Valley River .
CARTER ROAG COAL COMPANY completed backfilling and regrading on 09/29/2021 and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $135,240.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until August, 21, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
