NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE
MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Panther Ridge Sale is located within Greenbrier County, 20 miles North of White Sulphur Springs, WV, in the headwaters of the Greenbrier River. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at the Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore St, Elkins, WV 26241 before 2:00 PM local time on 09/15/2022. No public bid opening will be held. Bid results will be posted on the Monongahela National Forest Timber webpage as soon as practical after bid opening. There is an estimated volume of 177 CCF of Maple (RM,SM) sawtimber, 89 CCF of Hardwood-Other (BG,Hic) sawtimber, 961 CCF of Red & Black Oak (SO) sawtimber, 805 CCF of White Oak (CO) sawtimber, 501 CCF of Eastern White Pine sawtimber, 293 CCF of Yellow Poplar sawtimber, and 977 CCF of Pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Sale contains specified roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $123,190.67. Bidders qualifying as small business concerns under the Small Business Act may, when submitting a bid, elect for the Forest Service to build permanent roads. Additional information concerning this option is in the prospectus. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
