AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that J.F. Allen Company has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental
Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a G40-C General Permit Registration for nonmetallic mineral processing facilities located on County Road 52, near Pine Grove, in Wetzel County, West Virginia. The latitude and
longitude coordinates for the center of the site are: Latitude 38.575946 N and Longitude -80.701735 W.
The applicant estimates that the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be:
Nitrogen Oxides: 3.96 tons/year
Carbon Monoxide: 37.00 tons/year
Total Organic Compounds: 1.88 tons/year
Sulfur Oxides: 7.68 tons/year
Particulate Matter: 10.67 tons/year
Particulate Matter – 10: 4.22 tons/year
Carbon Dioxide Equivalents: 4332 tons/year
Formaldehyde: 0.031 tons/year
Total Hazardous Air Pollutants: 0.17 tons/year
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 15th day of September, 2022. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of
Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Written comments will also be received via email at [email protected].
