AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application

Notice is given that Appalachian Aggregates, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Modification to Permit R13-1891K to replace Crusher C5, a Telsmith 44 cone crusher, with a Metso HP300 cone crusher at Kelly Mountain Quarry located off of County Route 25 (Kelly Mountain Road) near Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 38.8955N, 79.7677W
There is no change in throughput or controls of the cone crusher, so there is no change in the potential to emit of regulated air pollutants.
The facility will begin operation under the updated permit when the permit is issued on or about the 15th day of November 2022. The facility is operational. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Written comments will also be received via email at DEPAirQualityPermitting@WV.gov.
