Notice is hereby given that Roaring Creek Coal Company, LLC, 109 Appalachian Dr, Beckley, WV 25801 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 151.55 acres in order to construct and operate a coarse coal refuse disposal area in the Not Applicable — N/A seam of coal.
The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributary of Brook Run of Laurel Creek of Middle Fork River of Tygart Valley River of Monongahela River and is located 5.0 miles northwest of Mabie in Roaring Creek District of Randolph County, Longitude 80* 03′ 05″ and Latitude 38* 55′ 22″.
