Municipal General Election
May 1, 2023
The Town of Beverly will be holding its General Election on Monday, May 1, 2023 for the position of a mayor, one (1) recorder, and five (5) council members. All are two (2) year terms. Any citizen eligible to hold office and desiring to appear on the ballot must file a Candidate’s Certificate of Announcement. The filing period will begin at 8:00 am, Monday, January 09, 2023 and closes at midnight on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Candidates may file in person from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding January 16th). The filing may be made by mail, providing the filing is postmarked by the US Postal Service no later than midnight Saturday, January 28, 2023. The proper filing fee of $50.00 for mayor or $25.00 for recorder/council members, must accompany the Certificate of Announcement. Certificate of Announcement forms may be picked up at the Beverly Town Hall located at 5 Walnut Avenue during normal business hours.
