PEDIATRIC
RESIDENTIAL
TREATMENT NURSING
FACILITIES
Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. Section 1396a (a) (13)
(1997) and 42 C.F.R. Section 447.205, the Department of Health and Human Resources (“Department”), Bureau for Medical Services (“Bureau”) provides notice of the filing of a state plan amendment (SPA), to establish a definition, requirements, standards and payment methodology for pediatric residential treatment nursing facilities (PRTNF’s) treating infants with neo-natal abstinence syndrome (NAS).
Effective October 1, 2016, PRTNF’s in West Virginia wishing to enroll as Medicaid providers will be required to meet the definition, requirements and standards set forth in the SPA, and will be reimbursed pursuant to the methodology set forth in this SPA. The reason for this SPA is to establish the above referenced definition, requirements, standards and reimbursement methodology. There is no expected fiscal impact from this state plan amendment in fiscal year 2017.
The SPA and this notice will be available for public inspection in each county office of the Department of Health and Human Resources during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, August 16, 2016 through Friday, September 16, 2016, and on the web at:
