NOTICE
The Northern Panhandle Conservation District is requesting engineering assistance related to underground mining near earthen dams and reservoirs. The engineering firm should be familiar with underground mining activities and the effects translated to the ground surface. Items may include pre-mining inspection, engineering plans for preventative and monitoring measures installed at the dam prior to mining, review and/or development and implementation of a monitoring plan during mining, review and/or development of engineering designs and plans for temporary repairs of the structure during mining, and review and/or development of engineering plans to return the structure to pre-mining conditions following the completion of all mining activities. Engineering designs and potential repairs may include structural, geotechnical, and/or hydraulic components.
