PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that on the 17th day of October, 2016, at 5:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Room 103, City-County Building, Wheeling, WV, the Planning Commission will meet to consider the text amendments relative to the following sections of the zoning ordinance in order to be consistent with the Federal Housing Act and the 2015 City of Wheeling CAPER:
1. Add or amend the following terms to Article 2: Definitions: Accessible/ Accessibility; American with Disabilities Act, Developmentally Disabled, Disability / Disabled, Fair Housing Act, Handicap, Family, Homeless Persons, Protected Classes, and Visitabilty.
2. Amend Section 4.12.G “Group Homes” to eliminate spacing requirement.
A copy of the proposed amendments and additional information is available in the Department of Economic and Community Development Room 308 City-County Building. If you would like to express your opinion concerning this matter, you are invited to attend the above mentioned public hearing.
