Town of Bethany, Bethany, West Virginia, 2023 Community Center Roof Project
Sealed bids for roof removal and replacement known as the 2023 Community Center Roof Project will be received by the Town of Bethany, WV, by forwarding bids as instructed below, until 2:00 PM local time on July 31, 2023 to enable the project to commence prior to November 1, 2023.
The project consists of:
Removal of old shingles and roofing materials down to plywood, etc, disposal of old shingles and roofing materials, etc, and cleanup. Inspect for damage. Replacement of any wood necessary for installation of new roofing. Smooth transition in roof. Approximatelyu 70′ and 40′ long.
Installation of following: Synthetic felt, GAF Tiger Paw or similar.
Ice and Water shield on all 2/12 pitched roof through transition in roof. Ice and water shield next to gutter at all other locations.
Minimum 30 yr architectural style laminated shingle or 26 gauge minimum 24 gauge preferred metal roof.
New drip edge and perimeter drip edge and or new capping.
New 6″ seamless gutter installed and connected to existing downspouts.
Bids for a Metal and/or Shingled Roof will be considered.
2 year contractor warranty guarantee.
3 references needed. Please submit with bid proposal.

Bids shall be submitted utilizing a two envelope system. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope 1 must contain the bid bond. Envelope 2 must be a separate, sealed envelope, marked “bid proposal” and must contain the completed and signed bid proposal.
Both envelopes must have the following information in the lower left-hand corner:
Name and address of bidder, bidder’s West Virginia contractors license number, “bid on roofing project” and be submitted to:

and RECEIVED prior to 2:00 PM on July 31, 2023.
