PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Wheeling Urbanized Area has been apportioned funds through what has been known as Section 5307 and Section 5339 of the Federal Transit Act of 1964, as amended. Also the Ohio Valley Regional Transportation Authority (OVRTA) and the Eastern Ohio Regional Transit Authority (EORTA), as the designated recepients of funds through these programs, intend to submit an application for capital and assistance for Fiscal year 2023. The federal share of the capital and operating assistance to be applied for by the OVRTA and the EORTA is $3,467,399 as follows:
Capital Asssitance – To purchase 8 replacement under 30′ buses, 1 replacement roof, 1 structural issue for the roof and 1 replacement van. The requested Federal Assistance: $2,004,059 (OVRTA request $1,749,637; EORTA request $254,442.)
Operating Assistance – For the period October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023. The requested Federal Assistance: $1,463,340 (OVRTA request $995,071; EORTA request $468,269.)

Further unless input received during the comment period affects the above Program of Projects, notice is hereby given that this is the final Program of Projects that will be incorporated into the grant application.
