PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Separate, sealed bids for the following project will be received by the Treasurer of the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center, 67400 Betty Lee Way, St. Clairsville, OH 43950 until 2:00 PM/EST on October 10, 2023. The bids will be publically opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. The Educational Service Center will receive bids from only qualified contractors licensed to do business in the State of Ohio at the time of bidding and 5-years’ experience in the work required.

Bid documents may be examined at the following Plan Rooms: Pittsburgh Builders Exchange, Cleveland Builders Exchange and Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council. A CD containing PDF’s of all contract documents may be obtained through the office of the Architect, Shaeffer & Madama, Inc., 57 Fourteenth Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 upon receipt of a $25.00 non-refundable payment and valid email address. A certified check or bank draft in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, payable to the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center shall be submitted with each bid; or a satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. The certified check, bank draft or bid bond shall be forfeited to the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center as a measure of liquidated damages should the bidder fail or refuse to execute the contract within ten (10) days following written notification of acceptance.
The East Central Ohio Educational Service Center reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. All bids submitted should be marked on the outside of the envelope as “ROOF REPLACEMENT.” Completion time is critical to this project and may be a condition of bid selection. Total completion time is NINETY (90) consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed or date of contract, whichever is soonest.
PRE-BID MEETING: Thursday, September 28, 2023 @ 2:00PM/EST. Interested parties are to meet at the Project Site, 55505 National Road, Bridgeport, OH 43912.
