The West Virginia Division of Forestry will be conducting a public tour at Kumbrabow State Forest on Saturday, October 22, 2016. This tour will be to inform the public of plans for a timber harvest that will provide wildlife habitat diversity and increased forest growth potential to this part of the forest. The tour of the area along Mill Ridge will take place at 10 AM. We will meet at the Kumbrabow State Forest office. Bring substantial footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather, snacks and water. The tour will involve a one mile hike over uneven ground in the woods. This is the opportunity for the public to learn about the project in order to provide meaningful input and comments. For more information contact Travis Miller at (304) 545-9015 or via email at If you plan to attend, please notify Miller by noon on Monday, October 17th for planning purposes.
