ORDER OF PUBLICATION OF ADOPTION PRECEEDINGS
The object of the above styled proceeding is to terminate all paternal and maternal rights and obligations to an infant male child born on December 20, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, and to grant the adoption of the child. A hearing on said issues is to occur on November 27, 2023 at 9:00am before the Honorable Judge David J. Sims, Circuit Judge of Ohio County, at the Ohio County Courthouse located at 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling, West Virginia, 26003.
And It appearing that the location and whereabouts of the determined biological father is unknown to the Petitioner and that the biologocal father has abandoned the male child, it is,
ORDERED that any person who admits, acknowledges, or otherwise wishes to declare his paternal rights to said child, including any Native American heritage, should file an answer with the Honorable Judge David J. Sims, Circuit Judge of Ohio County, Ohio County Courthouse, 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling, West Virginia, 26003 to assert or otherwise to defend his rights, within thirty (30) days after the date of the first publication of this Order, as required by West Virginia Code, Section 48-22-602, and West Virginia Code, Section 59-3-1 et.seq., and to appear at the hearing scheduled for November 27, 2023 at 9:00am. The Court does further,
ORDER that the failure to appear and respond within the required time will result in no further notice and in the loss of the ability to appear as provided by statute and also the termination of all paternal rights to the child.
