The Wheeling Park Commission invites proposals to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation for the select renovations within the Wheeling Park Schwertfeger Shelter Renovation. The project includes the demolition and renovations to the toilet and mechanical room of the existing shelter. The project includes two new ADA compliant toilet rooms, mechanical and storage space added to the shelter.
Sealed bids will be received by Wheeling Park Commission until 2:00pm on Friday, February 23, 2024. The bids are to be hand delivered to Mr. Nat Goudy, Wheeling Park Commission, Wheeling Park Offices within the White Palace, 1801 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003. The bids will be opened publicly in the White Palace meeting room.

A Prebid Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 1:30pm at the Wheeling Park White Palace (Meeting Room across from Coffee Shop), 1801 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY, FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE GENERAL CONTRACTORS; optional for interested subbidders and material suppliers. All bidders should attend the Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information.
After the review of the documents and after the pre-bid, written questions only will be addressed by addendum. The written questions must be submitted via email to Julie Doerr at jdoerr@millsgrouponline .com no later than 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 with response back to the contractors no later than 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
A Bid bond executed by a surety company acceptable to Wheeling Park Commission in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid, to guarantee the Bidder’s entrance into a Contract, if given the award. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
Any contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a contractor’s license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State of West Virginia and subdivision in which the work is to be performed.
The Wheeling Park Commission (OWNER) reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
