NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO RAISE REVENUE BY INCREASING SEWER RATES
AND NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to the provision of West Virginia Code ยง8-11-4, as amended, take notice that the
Common Council of the City of Paden City, West Virginia voted during
regular Council Meeting on April 16, 2024 in the Council Chambers located at the Paden City
Municipal Building, 208 W. Main Street, Paden City, Wetzel County, West Virginia, to consider and take final action upon the
proposed Ordinance, the principal object of which is to raise revenue, entitled:

“AN ORDINANCE TO
INCREASE THE MINIMUM CHARGE FOR SEWER SERVICES
SUPPLIED BY THE CITY OF PADEN CITY TO RESIDENTIAL,
COMMERICAL AND
INDUSTRIAL
CUSTOMERS”

(AMENDMENT OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF PADEN CITY, WEST VIRGINIA, ARTICLE 925, ENTITLED “SEWER RATES”)

The subject matter of the proposed Ordinance is to increase sewer rates to the users of the City of Paden City’s Waste Water System, effective August 1, 2024. Copies of the
proposed Ordinance may be inspected by the public during regular business hours at the Paden City Municipal Building by
contacting Shelia Ervin, Recorder of the City of Paden City, or Diann Wright, Utility Clerk/Sewer Board Secretary.

A public hearing will be held on May 8, 2024 at 6:30 o’clock p.m. in
Council Chambers located at the Paden City
Municipal Building, 208 W. Main Street Paden City, West Virginia. All
interested parties may
appear at the public
hearing on May 8, 2024 at 6:30 o’clock p.m. and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance. If the proposed Ordinance is adopted by Council, it will increase residential,
commercial and industrial sewer rates by 17.7%.

The Wheeling Housing Authority will receive sealed bids for one new vehicle. Bids will be received at the WHA Main Office until May 17, 2024 at 3:00 p.m., at which time the bids will be publicly opened. All bids must be submitted as follows:
