Inspections Department
The City of Weirton is accepting resumes for the position of Code Official within the Inspections
Department. The position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Inspections Dept., City-wide plan review, and all city-wide inspections to assure compliance with the State of West Virginia, City of Weirton Building and Property Maintenance Code, as well as inspection and
enforcement of the
City’s Codified Ordinances.
Applicants must have or be able to obtain licensing from the State Fire Marshal’s office as a Code Official and Building Inspector or be a licensed architect or professional engineer. Ten years of
construction, municipal code inspection or engineering experience is preferred.
Pay range for the position is $63,798 -$74,000. Interested and qualified individuals should submit
