Notice to Bidders
1. The City of Wellsburg is currently seeking bids for its asbestos abatement and demolition contract. Interested parties must obtain a bid packet, which will be available in the office of the City Manager located in the Wellsburg City Building, 70 Town Square, Wellsburg, WV starting June 3, 2024.
2. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Asbestos Abatement and Demolition 2024 Contract One” and may be mailed or delivered in person to the Wellsburg City Manager located in the Wellsburg City Building, 70 Town Square, Wellsburg, WV 26070. Bids will be accepted until June 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
3. The opening of the bids will take place in the Wellsburg Council Chambers at 2:15 p.m. on this same date.
4. The Information for Bidders, Plans, Specifications, Drawings, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined in the office of the City Manager.
5. Bid documents may be obtained only upon payment of $25.00 with the City of Wellsburg for each set obtained from the office of the City Manager. This deposit is nonrefundable. The City of Wellsburg reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
6. Each bidder must deposit with their bid security in the amount set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. This bid shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
7. Each bidder must be licensed in accordance with all applicable state and municipal laws.
