ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS – PADEN CITY DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY

HEALTH &
RECREATION BUILDING MAIN ROOF
REPLACEMENT
The Paden City Development Authority, an entity of the City of Paden City, will be accepting sealed bids for the Health & Recreation Building Roof Replacement project until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 Bids may be sent to: PCDA, Roof Replacement Bids, P.O. Box 196, Paden City, WV, 26159.or emailing them to:pcdevelopment [email protected]
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13th at the Paden City
Health & Recreation Building, 425 South 4th Avenue, Paden City.
A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or Certified Cashier’s check must accompany all Bids. After Bid opening, a Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days. All Bidders must have a current and valid West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. The PCDA reserves the right to refuse any and all bids. Bids received will be opened and read publicly on Tuesday, June 25, at 2:00 p.m. Physical Address for Pre-bid and bid opening meeting:
Paden City Health & Recreation Building, 425 South 4th Ave. (State Rt.2) room 22 on 2nd floor.
The work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Replacement of a roof, approximately 11,000 square feet in size. The roof is 28 years old and consists of foam covered with pea gravel.
Scope of work to replace roof;
The roof to be replaced will be free of extraneous vents, communication dishes, and old chiller buildings in order to simplify the bidding process.
Two gas lines are laid from south to north and will require to be elevated once the roof is replaced
Seal the roof to the inside edge of the parapet
Replace 3 scuppers and 3 downspouts
Expectations:
The roof is warranted against leaks for a period of at least 15 years. Non-prorated warranty
Building owner will supply water & power
Warranty covers to the edge of the roof
Warranty is renewable and transferable
Bidder is requested to attach a description of all proposed coatings to ensure it has the properties for proper thickness of application. Bids will be analyzed for length and quality of warranty, materials used and work history. These factors may affect the PCDA from selecting the lowest bid..
