FOR BIDS
The City of Wheeling: Owner
Sealed bids for Asbestos, Lead, and Radon Testing at Six Wheeling Fire Stations will be received by the City of Wheeling, West Virginia, at the office of the City Manager until 2:30 PM, September 25, 2024 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Information for Bidders, Plans, Specifications, Drawings, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following:
Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council in Wheeling, VW; and at the Office of the City Engineer, City-County Building, Wheeling, VW 26003.
Bidding Documents may be obtained only upon payment of $25.00 with the City of Wheeling for each set obtained from the Office of the City Engineer, City-County Building, Wheeling, WV 26003. The deposit is non-refundable. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This contract is also subject to the requirement of currently holding and having held all applicable EPA and West Virginia Inspector and Assessor licensures for a minimum of 3 years. MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE CLAUSE:
THE CONTRACTOR MUST USE HIS BEST EFFORTS TO CARRY OUT THE CITY OF WHEELING’S MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE POLICY. SPECIFICALLY, THE CONTRACTOR MUST UTILIZE TO THE GREATEST EXTENT FEASIBLE, MINORITY BUSINESS CONCERNS WHICH ARE LOCATED IN THE COUNTY, ADJACENT COUNTIES OR WITHIN THE GENERAL TRADE AREA.
