PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that the City of Wheeling – Wheeling Police Department, and Ohio County Commission – Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, have applied for federal grant funding through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The Wheeling Police Department will utilize its JAG funding to procure a forensic search and capture camera, along with portable LED lights, to strengthen its evidence collection and crime scene investigation capabilities. The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office has applied for two ballistic shields with integrated lights. These shields are essential for enhancing officer protection in high-risk situations. The application can be viewed and commented on at the Wheeling Police Department, the City Clerk’s Office, and online at: wheelingwv.gov/JAG.
