BID ADVERTISEMENT
The Wheeling Park Commission, a Municipal Park System located in Wheeling, West Virginia, will receive sealed bids until 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the front desk of Wilson Lodge in Oglebay Park, where bids will be opened and read aloud in a room TBD at the Lodge for the following project:
Gas Line Installation Levenson to Schrader consisting of the installation of approximately 1,200 linear feet of underground 3″- 2708 medium density poly transmission gas line with fused joints, 1,200 linear feet – #12 AWG yellow jacket tracer wire including Four – 3″ fused DR-11 ball values and their associated curb boxes, Two – 3″ tees and Two – 3″ steel to 3″ plastic couplers and Two – 3″ plastic to 3″ plastic couplers. Installation per the International Fuel & Gas Code. Note: A creek crossing will be required for this installation per DEP specification. Installation can be trenched or boring or combination of. Interested bidders may obtain the Project Manual and bidding documents by attending a Mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Oglebay Park, Levenson Shelter. After receiving the Bid Package and reviewing the Project Documents bidders will have the opportunity to tour the proposed area of this gas line installation. Bidders are advised that on this Project, each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Wheeling Park Commission for 5% of the total bid. In lieu of a certified check, a Bid Bond for 5% of the total bid will be acceptable. Each person or firm submitting a bid for any portion of the work shall include their West Virginia Contractor’s License number and shall provide a current copy of their West Virginia Contractor’s License with their bid. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within 10 days of the actual opening thereof. The successful Contractor and Subcontractors must comply with all rules and Regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and must be able to provide proof of general liability and automobile liability insurance that meets the minimum requirements as found in the Project Manual. The Wheeling Park Commission reserves the right to delete any or all portions of the Bid, waive any or all informalities or minor defects and reject any or all bids.
