State of North Carolina, Gaston County. In the District Court, Special Proceedings Division, In re Doe, File No. 24 SP 607. To any unknown father, take notice that a special proceeding has been commenced in Gaston County District Court File No. 24 SP 607 by Petitioners to adopt a male child born June 27, 2012, to Samantha Lynn Folden, the biological mother, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Samantha Lynn Folden is described as a Caucasian female, currently approximately 34 years old. You are required to make defense to such pleading and file a written response not later than December 23, 2024, which is 40 days after the first date of publication of this notice. Any written response should be filed at the Gaston County Courthouse, 325 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Gastonia, NC 28052. If you fail to respond, Petitioners will seek an order that your consent to this adoption is not required; you will receive no further notice of the proceeding, including notice of the time and place of any hearing; and a decree of adoption will be entered. Any parental rights you may have will be terminated upon entry of the decree of adoption. This the 5th day of November, 2024.
