REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Ohio County Solid Waste Authority is requesting proposals for hauling and proper landfill disposal of waste materials collected during the annual Authority sponsored 10-15 Spring Cleanup events in Ohio County, WV from March – May 2025. Proposals shall be presented based on the following required specifications:
1. All collection equipment (containers and vehicles) will be provided and maintained by the proposed vendor.
2. Vendors have required equipment and staffing available to place a minimum of two 30 yard roll off containers, which will be continually rotated between the hours of
3. 8am – 2pm.
4. Vendors provide the option to place a packer truck at the locations for overflow.
5. Frequency of collection and number of bins per location will be modified to meet each location’s needs. Additional locations may be added based on cost effectiveness and necessity.
6. Cleanup event schedule dates may change as needed due to unforeseen circumstances.
7. Anticipated contract is for March 2025 – May 2025.
With the above specifications being met, each proposal must contain the following:
1. Size and type of collection units to be used.
2. Service fees: Haul + Disposal + Mobilization + Site Setup, and + Any Surcharges and Recovery Fees
3. An identification of relevant permits, and/or licensure to provide such service held by the proposing party.
4. An identification of the type and limits of liability insurance coverage held by the proposing party.
5. A description of the proposing party, including, but not limited to: (a) location of principal offices; (b) location of all facilities proposed to be used in carrying out the service detailed in the proposal; and (c) experience with provision of similar services on other projects.
6. A description and/or pictures of equipment anticipated to be used during the contract period.
The vendor shall agree to indemnify and save the Ohio County Solid Waste Authority, including its officers, employees and agents, harmless from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions or causes of action by any act, omission, neglect or misconduct by the vendor.
All proposals must be signed by a responsible official. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled on the outside as, “Proposals for 2025 Spring Cleanup” to Ohio County Solid Waste Authority, 176 Satterfield Drive, Triadelphia, WV 26059. Proposals must be received by 3pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within 30 days after opening.
The Ohio County Solid Waste Authority reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any and all proposals, to reject any and all proposals without further explanation, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified company to such an extent as may be necessary.
