The Ohio Valley Regional Transportation Authority (OVRTA) is seeking insurance bids for West Virginia Workers Compensation Coverage for a one year period beginning June 23, 2019.

Notice is hereby given that the Executive Director of the OVRTA will receive sealed bids until 2:15 pm, local time, Thursday, June 20, 2019 in the Authority’s office at 21 South Huron Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 for the above project. Bids at that time and place will be promptly and publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded as per OVRTA bid procedures. Any bids received at the time and date referred to above will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.

All bids must be in writing, and must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked upon the outside ‘BID FOR INSURANCE COVERAGE: PROJECT NO. WC19-06-20.” Sealed bids submitted must be in accordance with the Authority’s bid specification package, copies of which may be obtained by contacting the Executive Director at 304-232-2190.
All bids shall be subject to all applicable state and federal laws, subject to approval of a financial assistance contract between the OVRTA and the Federal Transit Administration, and in compliance with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations.
The OVRTA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation to bid, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, age or national origin in consideration of the award. Any name appearing on the Comptroller General’s list of ineligible contractors is not an eligible bidder.
The OVRTA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding as it deems in its best interest.
The award of the contract will be made on the basis of the lowest responsive bidder as selected by the OVRTA.
