Notice is hereby given that TUNNEL RIDGE, LLC, 184 SCHOOLHOUSE LN., VALLEY GROVE, WV 26060 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 614.83 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV, 26416-1600, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O201608 to operate a refuse disposal facility in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Souttell Run of Short Creek / Ohio River and is located 2.1 miles, South East of Short Creek in Richland District of Ohio County, Longitude 80 degrees 39′ 55.3″ and Latitude 40 degrees 8′ 56.5 ” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until March 23, 2025, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
