Separate sealed bids will be received by the City of New Martinsville Parks and Recreation Department at 197 Main Street, New Martinsville, WV 26155 until 4:00 PM on Monday, March 17th, 2025. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud during the regular Mid-Month City Council meeting to be held at New Martinsville City Hall, same address, 6:00 PM on Monday, March 17th, 2025.
Seeking bids for the following project:
Lewis Wetzel Swimming Pool gutter repair by means of the following procedures:
Prepare concrete surfaces in accordance with NACE No. 6/SSPC-SP13 Joint Surface Preparation Standards and ICRI Technical Guidelines.
Abrasive blast, shot-blast, water jet or mechanically abrade concrete surfaces using power tools to remove irregularities, laitance, curing compounds, hardeners, sealers and other contaminants and to provide an ICRI-CSP 2-3 surface profile.
Large cracks, voids and other surface imperfections should be filled with a surfacer to manufacturer specifications.
Apply topcoat by manufacturer specifications.
Qualified bidders must have:
* a minimum of 10 years’ experience resurfacing water retaining concrete structures
* completed 3 similar jobs in similar climates to West Virginia in the time frame of 2008-2018
Bids must include details of the installation such as:
* Materials used (Surfacing material must be polyamidoamine epoxy or a comparable material)
PLEASE NOTE: Materials must be able to withstand the presence of chlorine and other water sanitation and balancing chemicals as used in public swimming pools.

*Reference names and phone numbers of 3 customers of completed jobs in similar climates to West Virginia in the time frame of 2008-2018.
All contractors involved with the project must possess a valid WV State License and a New Martinsville City Business License.

*A valid West Virginia Contractors license and New Martinsville City Business License must be obtained and provided prior to final awarding of bid.
