IN THE MATTER OF OHIO COUNTY CASE # 24-JA-93 HEATHER WOOD, biological mother of infant R.I.W., whose date of birth is August 14, 2024, and MELVIN CROW, putative biological father of infant R.I.W., whose date of birth is August 14, 2024, natural child of Heather Wood. The Petitioner, the West Virginia Department of Human Services, has filed a petition alleging that MELVIN CROW has abused and neglected, abandoned, or failed to provide for the care, custody and control of R.I.W., whose date of birth is August 14, 2024. It is ORDERED that MELVIN CROW is to appear in the courtroom of the Honorable David J. Sims, Judge of the Circuit Court of Ohio County, West Virginia, Fifth Floor, Ohio County Courthouse, Wheeling, WV on the 31st day of March, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. for an Adjudication and Disposition Hearing if he so desires to object or make other defenses to the Petition; otherwise MELVIN CROW, putative biological father of infant R.I.W., whose date of birth is August 14, 2024., may be adjudicated as an abusive and neglectful parent and his parental rights may be terminated.
