INVITATION TO BID
DEMOLITION OF A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
CITY OF BENWOOD
The City of Benwood will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s Office, 430 Main Street, Benwood, WV 26031 for demolition of a structures located at 1629 Marshall Street, 1688-1690 Marshall Street, 1526 Marshall Street, 406 Water Street and 17 North Marshall Street ,Benwood, WV. All bids must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. July 24, 2019.
Bids will be publicly opened and read at that time in the city council chambers of the City of Benwood, 430 Main Street, Benwood, WV. Bids must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes plainly marked “DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 1567 MARSHALL STREET”, “DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 1688-1690 MARSHALL STREET”, “DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 1526 MARSHALL STREET”, “DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 406 WATER STREET”, “DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 17 NORTH MARSHALL STREET”.
Bids are only being solicited only from responsible and established bidders know to be experienced and regularly engaged in the work of demolition, particularly of residential buildings and removal of demolition debris to appropriate disposal sites. Satisfactory evidence that the bidder than has the necessary capital, equipment and personnel to do the work may be required.
Proposal forms and specifications are on file for the inspection of bidder at the City of Benwood, 430 Main Street, Benwood, WV and copies may be obtained by qualified bidders. Sealed bids must be submitted on the forms furnished by the City. Inquiries concerning bids, call 304-232-4320.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept any bid, or portion thereof, which, in their opinion, is most advantageous to the City.
